Quality nail varnish is sometimes difficult to come by.  There are many cheap lacquers on the market, jam-packed with noxious toxins ranging from dibutyl phthalate, toluene, camphor and formaldehyde.

Nail technicians on their nail course, learn about the importance of acquiring a good-quality nail varnish, many resorting to the only safe lacquers on the market that are more high-range: OPI, Jacava, Nails Inc., for instance.

The method of application is the same, regardless of quality, but the more high-range the laquer, the less poisonous and detrimental to the clients’ nails and general wellbeing.  Clients are reminded that they should always use a good quality base coat to ensure the colour adheres better to the nail and also to protect the nail from staining.  Jacava do a fantastic base coat packed with vitamin A & E, to nourish and rejuvenate weak or brittle nails.  The base coat can be applied in one or two layers, followed by two layers of colour and one of the glossy top coat, that will protect the colour from chipping and provide a couple of days of extra wear.
