Many people ask themselves “Why are my nail stained”, this is something that is extremely common throughout the world.

The Answer is Simple:

When you apply nail polish, the pigment is often strong enough to be absorbed into your nail, therefore, staining the nail plate a similar colour to the polish they have applied.

Students on nail courses already know how to avoid this unwanted look when you remove the nail polish. The answer is much more simple than many thought. Basically, you want to stop the pigment transferring to the nail bed. Applying a base coat (a clear polish with no pigment) and applying the coloured polish over the protective base coat will help to prevent the pigment reaching, and staining, the nail.
